Falls reassurance
Using wireless technology specifically designed to detect falls and trips, in the event of an emergency, sensors will alert our 24 hour alarm response centre.
This package includes our Progress Lifeline service and a falls detector.
Our falls detector is designed to monitor your movements and raise an alert if it detects a fall. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear and splash resistant. As well as being able to press a button and get assistance, the highly functional built-in falls sensor is able to automatically detect a fall based on a pattern of movement, impact and sudden stillness.
Once a fall has been detected, it will raise an emergency call to our alarm response centre, where we will call the appropriate help on your behalf. When you fall, an alert will automatically activate the base unit and open a call with our alarm response centre – getting you the help you need even if you are unconscious or unable to move. Please note that you will need to press the button if the falls detector doesn't appear to have captured the fall.
This type of sensor can be very helpful for someone who is elderly or at risk of falls such as seizures or frequent fainting. These sensors are especially helpful to people with these afflictions that might not get time to even press a button in case of an emergency and hence, the fall detector alarms can offer a solution to this problem.
